The barrier to taking on new work has been broken at joinery Jacob Brown in Witney near Oxfordshire with the installation of a HolyTek ME Eagle moulder.

There was no room for expansion in the workshop – but the arrival of the HolyTek has reduced required floorspace, increased production and quality and enabled the company to accept new orders.

Jacob Brown has also benefited from the technology offered by the machine with set-up and adjustment being major features. The infeed table and fence are adjusted by two levers at the infeed end of the machine. All spindle adjustment levers are on the front with digital read-out for each spindle. A side front pressure unit offers additional side pressure for short workpieces presented to the left vertical spindle.

The main control console is at the infeed station so that the operator has all controls at his fingertips.

The ME523 comes with five powered pneumatic upper pressure rollers and one powered bottom roller.

Safety features include an over-height protection device at the infeed, and front and rear pressure plates.
