The International Wood Products Association has appointed Brent McClendon as executive vice-president. He replaces Wendy Baer who resigned after 26 years.
Mr McClendon has more than 13 years’ senior management experience in the wood products industry. For the past three years he worked for hardwood veneer manufacturer and importer the Dean Company and prior to that he was director, environmental policy and veneer member services for the Hardwood Plywood & Veneer Association.
He has also worked as a government affairs manager for a lumber association and as a regional forester for a state agency.
