A system for testing the safety and performance of Paslode Duo-Fast fixings has been launched for contractors and specifiers.
ITW Construction’s Hydrajaws product is aimed at on-site construction users, timber frame panel manufacturers and other wood-using industries which use Paslode Duo-Fast tools and fasteners.
The system tests the holding power of nails and brads in a wide range of timber applications, such as silent beams, joists and roof trusses in timber frame buildings.
It works by applying a tensile load to the fixing, via an adaptor, ensuring safe working loads are in operation and checking correct installation.
ITW claims to be the first timber fixings company to offer fast and reliable on-site pull-out testing.
