Father and son team Jim and Adam Watson have invested around £350,000 in CNC manufacturing technology to become the only UK manufacturer of the full QA clipped duct system.
Up to 75% of Adams Sheet Metal Ltd’s clip production from its 13,000ft2 factory south-east of Bradford, goes overseas, mostly to the US, and sales are doubling year on year.
Jim Watson, who previously ran Nordfab in the UK and latterly worked for dust extraction specialist CADES, is to become a consultant at ASM for the bespoke design of extraction layouts and the optimisation of ducting layouts.
He said: “I know everyone in wood and panel processing and everybody knows me – my knowledge of modern dust extraction techniques and technology comes from a lifetime in the business.”
