International Decorative Surfaces (IDS) has added a Hubtex Detachable Picking Platform to two Hubtex EZK20 Worktop Picking Platforms already in operation at its Nuneaton Distribution Centre.
The new machine is to be used in IDS’s laminate section, where it will allow two men to pick sheets up to 8.5m in length and, with the platform detached, to restock materials throughout the rest of the warehouse.
“Laminate sheets can be very fragile,” said Hubtex (UK) Ltd. “Two men picking from waist height ensures a quick and safe method of handling, with no damage to the product.”
In February, Hubtex’s EZK20 truck range was awarded the Award for Ergonomics at the Fork Lift Truck Association’s annual Awards for Excellence.
