Hans Hundegger Maschinenbau GmbH was demonstrating its interest in the UK market by promoting several new machines for both joinery and timber construction.
Key among these is the Speed-Panel-Machine (SPM), one of which has just been installed at Intelligent Wood Systems in Scotland.
Designed to process solid wood, OSB, chipboard, plywood and drywall panels, the SPM is the ideal tool for SIPs manufacture. “The SIPs market is strong in the UK and this makes it a very attractive market for this machine,” said Steffen Weber, technical consultant/export.
Hundegger’s K2 also features in the UK timber frame sector and a new stablemate, the K2-ROBOT, a 6-axis joinery machine, is now available for smaller companies producing lower volumes but who still want the precise and flexible processing capability.
Hundegger was also promoting its solid wood wall production line, following the growing popularity of cross-laminated timber construction in the UK, said Mr Weber.
