Former Baltic Pine director Trevor Howard is the new managing director of Cornish company Clearwood Joinery.

Mr Howard’s appointment is intended to create a strong and effective management team, with the objective of firmly establishing Clearwood as a leading joinery in the south-west while at the same time reaching out to new markets across the UK and Europe.

As well as implementing a new regional sales plan, Mr Howard has already introduced key changes to the company’s management structure starting with two in-house promotions: Jay Pengelly is the new head of sales and Stuart Caudery is head of production. In addition, Treve Temby heads up the new technical department.

Mr Howard’s varied background includes advising Cornish SMEs being a mentor for the Unlocking Cornish Potential scheme. He also set up and ran the business school at Truro College.
