The Weima Leopard horizontal shredder has been selling like “hot cakes” in the US over the past 12 months. Now, said UK managing director Liam Oldershaw, the company expects it to perform equally well in Europe.
“Instead of a conventional roller infeed, which can only pull in one strip of wood at a time, the Leopard’s chain-link takes a whole package simultaneously. It takes 30 seconds to handle the amount it takes a conventional machine three minutes to process. Companies using the biggest model in the range are processing up to seven tonnes an hour,” he said.
