Representatives from 88 companies turned out to see the latest in woodworking technology at Homag UK’s October open house exhibition.

The three-day event at Homag’s Castle Donington headquarters attracted 136 visitors, who saw machines put through their paces, including edgebanding technology from Brandt and Homag, Holzma beam saws and the latest sliding table saw from Martin.

Other machines on display were CNC machining centres and drilling systems from Weeke, Homag five-axis CNC routing units, Bütfering wide-belt sanders and the recently launched Martin multi-spindle throughfeed moulder.

Representatives from three leading tooling companies were on hand, while a Royal Bank of Scotland team provided help and advice on finance requirements.

Homag UK managing director Paul Cooper said: “The feedback from customers is unanimously positive about this type of event and its usefulness. Open house exhibitions are planned for regular intervals in the future.”
