Of the sales total, £1.9m was accounted for by customers from the UK and Ireland. This added up to a new Homag Ligna record for the two countries – a total of 25 machines sold.

“This showed confident economies investing in capital equipment in the future,” said Homag UK managing director Paul Cooper.

One key feature under the Homag banner was the BAZ 722 stationary processing centre which features two Y-axis machining tables with routing, drilling and edgebanding and finishing tool heads.

“These can act in tandem, undertaking the same processes on two workpieces simultaneously, or be programmed to be doing completely different work,” said a Homag spokesperson.

Also prominently on show was an automatic Holzma HVP vertical beam panel/postforming saw, targeted at DIY outlets, exhibition stand makers, shopfitters and furniture producers.
