Family-owned Taylor Made Joinery has made a significant investment in new machinery at its purpose-built 30,000ft2 workshop at Bildeston near Ipswich.

The ISO9001-accredited company is able to supply everything in-house from detailed working drawings at project conception through to supply and installation.

Projects it has worked on range from £5,000 to £5m-plus and include restoration work after the fire at Windsor Castle which earned the company a ‘thank you’ letter signed by HM the Queen.

The company recently decided it needed extra capacity in the areas of spindle moulding, panel sizing and veneer pressing and Homag has supplied a Martin T-26 semi-automatic spindle moulder, a Martin T-73 electronic sliding table panel sawn and a hi-tech Joos press to meet the requirements.

The Martin T-26 is an advanced tilting arbor spindle moulder with electronic set-up controls and programmable memory. The T-73 saw features electronic fence and blade settings and a high capacity memory. Additional features include a dampened base for precision cuts and hardened guideways.

The Joos press has gold anodised platens which distribute uniform heat very fast using the Okotherm system. It also features fast cycles, optimum operator acess and special safety features like the ABS sensory system.
