Homag UK and Young Black have reached an agreement to supply Weinmann timber frame housing manufacturing equipment to the UK market.

Young Black, a specialist automated fastening company, and Homag UK are to supply, install and maintain Weinmann machines to companies of all sizes across the UK.

Homag said that the three-way partnership between Young Black, Weinmann, which is part of the wider Homag Group, and Homag UK will bring synergy to the timber frame market and create one of the strongest and most technologically advanced presences in the timber frame sector.

“[Young Black] specialises in fastening systems, specifically nailing and stapling,” said Homag. “Their expertise in the timber frame market [helps] the link with Weinmann and Homag UK bring synergy and a greater level of experience and expertise to the market.”

Lawrence Young, director at Young Black, added that the timber frame industry “is an exciting place to be at the moment” and that the link-up between the three companies is “a great marriage”.
