The Hoffman dovetail jointing system has solved a manufacturing problem for an East Sussex company which makes roof lanterns.

Rye-based Traditional Roof Lanterns is using the system to join the mitred sections of the sills at the base of the timber and glass structures – previously a problematic process. A Hoffman MU2 keyway router clamps the two joint faces together.

The company says use of modern materials and the Hoffman system has led to a dramatic growth in orders.
