A Devon joinery is using Hoffman‘s dovetail key jointing system in the manufacture of solid teak baths.

William Garvey bought a Hoffman bench-mounted MU2 manual router to cut standard depth keyway slots for the dovetail joints in teak products including baths, basins, sinks and associated accessories.

The intricate design of the products mean joints require a variety of angles and some significant depths where components need to butt against each other and the joint has to be pulled closed and permanently secured.

The company uses different Hoffman dovetail keys, from short plastic variations to extended length aluminium ones, depending on application.
