The K2i is the latest development of the successful K2 and, similarly, is designed for a range of mortise and tenon joinery tasks; from machining all the components for timber frame, log home and “heavy timber” house designs, to trussed rafter and staircase production.

The key new development is greater automation, with the software control and feed systems minimising manual intervention.

“Overall, it gives 30% greater capacity,” said sales director Wolfgang Piatke.

Hundegger’s SC2 Speed Cut also made its Ligna debut. Its functions include drilling, milling, slotting and marking. Job files can be programmed with the manufacturer’s single piece construction program, or transferred from CAD systems.
