Hand-held technology relating to moisture meters and temperature gauges is becoming an increasingly important part of the kilns market.
Andreas Ruf, sales manager at Bes Bollmann, said that the company is looking increasingly at additional technologies to supplement traditional revenue streams, with the Easy Comfort hand-held device its most recent foray into the market.
According to Mr Ruf, the pocket-sized device combines both temperature and moisture measurements, with a moisture range for wood of 5-48% to within a tolerance of 0.5%.
“We’re refocusing a little on supplementary technology as a growing market,” said Mr Ruf.
BES Bollmann is also updating its other hand-held equipment said Mr Ruf, with new ranges and models across its pocket, professional and master series of meters.
