The UK Green Building Council has appointed Paul King as chief executive.
Mr King joins from WWF-UK, where he was director of campaigns, leading the One Million Sustainable Homes campaign. He is also a co-founder of One Planet Living, a joint WWF/BioRegional initiative helping the development of sustainable communities in a range of countries and promoting the imperative for One Planet Living to governments, businesses and individuals.
Last year, Mr King was the winner of the Leadership category at the Building Sustainability Awards.
The Green Building Council, which was launched at Ecobuild, is an industry-led organisation which aims to improve the sustainability of the UK built environment.
