GMD-Giardina, supplier of finishing systems to the furniture and woodworking industries, has signed an exclusive agreement to distribute Tagliabue sanding machines for in-line and finishing project installations.
GMD has already sold ten Tagliabue wide-belt sanders to Jeld-Wen in various configurations during 2002. Two other machines have been installed in the workshops of Rolls Royce and Bentley.
Gerry Doran, GMD founder and managing director, said: “All areas of the finishing process are crucially interdependent on each other to achieve a consistent quality result.”
He said the pre-sanding/preparation and intermediate processes, such as denibbing, ultimately dictate the quaity of finish.
