Charles Thwaites has been appointed executive director of FSC UK.
Mr Thwaites joins FSC-UK after 12 years as a consultant advising industrial companies and local authorities on the implementation of environmental and sustainability best-practice. Much of his work involved establishing management systems certified to European and international environmental standards.
Mr Thwaites graduated from the University of Salford with an MSc in Environmental Resources after an earlier career in the Armed Forces. He takes up his post with FSC UK on October 16.
