Frost Conservatories Ltd has introduced a HolyTek Eagle moulder and a straight line edger at its Bedforshire factory to improve timber processing.

The bespoke design and manufacturing company, based in Tempsford, has both private and commercial customers and has completed major restoration projects of historic conservatories, orangeries and double-storey constructions.

The moulder is a Holytek ME523 Eagle, a five-spindle throughfeed machine with five powered upper pressure rollers and one powered bottom roller for smooth finishing on main structural components.

It has a full working width range from 10-230mm and thickness capacity from 7-125mm. Workpieces as short as 230mm can be processed and feed speeds are infinitely variable from 6-25m/min.

Nick Frost, who oversees factory operations, needed a straight line edging machine to process wany-edged and other timber boards. Holytek edgers offer a glue length range from 1,800-3,200mm and cutting depths from 75-135mm.

The edger has a link chain tracking adjustment which uses adjusting screws for simple and quick setting. It presents optimally pre-prepared timber to the moulder.
