The broom attaches to the company’s forklift truck and allows it to tidy up sawdust and other waste materals, according to yard supervisor Dennis Carr.
SweepEx push brooms feature industrial strength steel and high-grade polypropylene, with manufacturer Broadwood International claiming that they can cover 450 miles before the brush needs replacing.
“We are so impressed with the SweepEx that we are considering purchasing another unit,” said Mr Carr.
Forest Garden‘s Lockerbie site handles and processes 750 tonnes of logs per day.
