JJ Smith & Co (Woodworking Machinery) Ltd is to hold its first open day for timber frame manufacturers at its Liverpool showrooms.

The October 4 event, organised in conjunction with the UK Timber Frame Association and Irish Timber Frame Manufacturers’ Association, will feature a full range of equipment, including an H&M assembly table and an H&M automatic Anglemaster saw linked to inkjet printers for studmarking.

Other technology on display will include an SL laser projection system for setting out and assembly of wall and floor panels, a Striebig Compact vertical panel saw and a Panhans Euro 5.1 automatic beam saw for volume cutting.

JJ Smith will give a presentation on the latest manufacturing techniques in timber frame construction and also demonstrate its specially designed panel saw for cutting structural insulated panels.

Timber frame design software supplier Consultec will be present with its complete range of products.
