Finnish flooring locks up

Finnish engineered timber flooring manufacturer Timberwise has developed a new locking system which uses springs to attach floorboards to each other.

The company, represented in the UK by Cheadle-based Taylored Flooring, says the WiseLoc patented fifth generation end tongue and groove mechanism is designed to allow floorboards to be attached without bending or using wedges. Locking springs are activated by pressing floorboards down.

The system will be displayed on Taylored Flooring’s stand at the National Floor Show at Harrogate in September.
