The main exhibit on the stand of Austrian manufacturer Fill was the latest in its Speedliner bandsaw family, the 920-1250.

The machine can handle cutting widths up to 1250mm and the demo highlighted its versatility, sawing a range of materials from beech and laminated softwood, to balsa and cork.

It has a selection of ‘hard metal’ and stellite blades and offers a kerf as slim as 1.1mm. Using servo-controlled drive and saw pulleys supported by bearings on both sides, the 920-1250 promises “precision on even the thinnest of cuts”.
