The chairmanship of East Anglian independent merchant The Ridgeon Group has transferred from David Ridgeon to his youngest daughter Anne, following the former’s retirement.
Mr Ridgeon’s retirement follows a celebratory 2003 when he marked his 50th year with the company.
Anne Ridgeon, the fourth generation of the family business, had been deputy chairman for several years. Formerly an account director at advertising firm Saatchi & Saatchi, she started work at Ridgeons as group market research manager before being appointed director of personnel, marketing and CRS wholesale.
