Combilift’s smallest product, the counterbalance-design Combi-CB, was launched in 2008 and, following its impressive market success and growing demand for further models, the company decided to considerably expand the range.

Some of the results will be on display at Ligna and the model’s manoeuvrability will be demonstrated on Ireland-based Combilift’s outdoor stand by members of the Combi-CB display team, who are back following their popular debut at the last Ligna, with new “CB dance” routines to Irish music.

Developed as a solution for operations needing to handle a mix of palletised as well as long loads, the original space-saving, versatile CB was designed with a 2.5t load capacity. Feedback from customers indicated that heavier load capacities would considerably widen the range of applications, particularly in the timber sector where it could be used for handling larger packs of wood, for example.

Combilift has consequently introduced three- and four-tonne versions. At the same time, these new models retain the compact dimensions of the original. They are also produced in diesel, LPG and the new CBE AC electric powered model to suit the needs of the operator.

“As the introduction of these new CB models shows, we are constantly adding to our wide range of handling solutions,” said managing director Martin McVicar. “So if you’re coming to Ligna please stop by and catch up on our latest developments, watch the CB dance and enjoy a glass of Guinness with us.”

Combilift will be in the outdoor area on stand H07/2 and in Hall 16, stand D01/2.
