“The show is amazing,” was Ecochoice managing director Mike Bekin’s verdict on this year’s show.
“I didn’t think they were going to pull it off at the new ExCeL venue, but we have been very pleased with the quality and volume of visitors. It feels like the old Interbuild exhibition.”
Mr Bekin said the size increase meant a lot of general building product companies were now in attendance but he questioned some of the their enviromental credentials. “I don’t think there is a filter on show exhibitors,” he added.
Ecochoice, a tropical hardwood specialist shared a stand with the Forest Stewardship Council and highlighted its Plato heat-treated wood products. Mr Bekin said Ecochoice could take merchants’ non-core enquiries – the sort of weird and wonderful certified tropical hardwoods the trade might find it difficult to source.
Ecochoice can also now offer a turnkey supply and build service, with projects including footbridges and lock gates.
