Gordon Gray, Jewson Internal Timber Supply’s (JITS) operations director, has taken early retirement.
Mr Gray was with Wickes Building Supplies from its early days in the late 1970s through to 1996, his most recent role being that of development director.
During his time with Wickes, Hunter Timber was acquired and Mr Gray spent four years as chief executive of the Hunter manufacturing site in Boston – now Finnforest.
For the past six-and-a-half years Mr Gray has been responsible for the development of the JITS operation that now supplies the bulk of machined softwood/ carcassing and plywood into the Jewson branch network.
Mr Gray intends spending more time with his family, but will remain involved with the timber industry.
