Dustraction Ltd has installed a cyclo-filter-based extraction system at Shire Garden Building’s site in Wisbech, to remove woodwaste from the company’s shop floor.
The Dustraction system will service 10 panel, cross-cut and pull-over saws, CNC machines, notchers and a Weinig moulder station, with the capacity to deal with 50,000m³ per minute and a working life of 6,000 hours.
Filtered air from the system will be recirculated around Shire’s shop floor, with Dustraction claiming that the “extremely high filtration efficiency” enables it to guarantee a maximum emission level of 0.2mg/m, within European legislation limits.
Dustraction has added that the limited number of moving parts in the cyclo-filter means it can be operated 24 hours a day, furthering its extraction efficiency.
