Reducing the sound of extraction fans was a major consideration when shopfitter GF Holding moved to a new factory located within 15m of residential properties.
The 95-year old company, whose business focuses on the leisure and finance industries, commissioned Dust Control Systems (DCS) to provide an extraction system for the 35,000ft2 factory in Dukinfield, Cheshire.
Three DCS Nordfab Combifab fans, designed to produce low noise levels, were installed within a sound-absorbing enclosure to meet local environmental requirements.
Also installed was a small footprint Nordfab NF2000 wood waste extraction plant, particularly useful in view of limited space alongside the building. The system is designed to cope with any future increase in capacity.
DCS commissioned the equipment during GF Holding’s annual Christmas shutdown, ensuring no production time was lost.
