Exotic timber importer and sawmiller Craft Supplies Ltd has added a further forklift truck to its fleet to handle larger items and greater volume.
The Buxton company was supplied a Daewoo D45SC-2 forklift on a lease-basis by Rotherham-based Ability Handling. The machine had to be tough enough to negotiate through broken timber and other debris in the yard where ground conditions are rough and prone to mud.
The 4.5 tonne vehicle is fitted with oil-cooled disc brakes, a 4350mm side-shift mast and all-weather protection. It handles timber in the form of large logs and planks, which are used to produce wood turning, woodworking products and craft materials for the trade and individuals.
