Cushion was already operating Stenner Band Resaws, but needed to update and expand sawing capacity. Its old machines also needed modification to conform with latest health and safety/PUWER legislation.

After an evaulation with Dalton’s sales director Andy Walsh, the company placed an order for two new Stenner ST100 Resaws and two of the smaller ST80 models.

Cushion’s, which has been trading for 175 years, has bought a range of new equipment from Nottingham-based Daltons in recent years. This has included Wadkin six-head planer/moulders, crosscut saws, planer/thicknesses, a four-side planer and two Dutch-built Elcon Vertical Panel Saws, for which Daltons is sole UK distributor.
