Scott McAndrew, technical manager at engineered timber connector manufacturer Cullen Building Products, has registered as the UK’s first part-time Masters student in timber engineering.
Sponsored by Cullen, Mr McAndrew enrolled in September for the three-year course which is offered by Napier University‘s Centre for Timber Engineering. “I’m thoroughly enjoying the course – although it is challenging. I’m particularly enjoying the module on sustainable design, which is so important in the construction industry today,” said Mr McAndrew.
Managing director Doug Cullen said the company had an ongoing commitment to research and development and “having a qualified timber engineer in-house will keep Cullen products at the innovative forefront”.
