“The best show yet,” was how Combilift Ltd managing director Martin McVicar described this year’s Interbuild.

The County Monaghan-based four-way fork lift manufacturer opted to exhibit in the Hall 6 of the Structural and External section of the show rather than within the Truck and Tool section because of its close relationship with the timber industry.

“Being here [in Hall 6] among existing customers demonstrates that we are here for the timber industry,” said the company’s Liz Townsend. “We’re in a great position next to our customers and our potential customers and are virtually the only handling equipment manufacturer here. We have a captive audience and we’ve been much busier than last time. Visitors have been staying on the stand for a long time and we’ve generated 60 or 70 solid leads.”

Combilift’s new factory, which started production in March last year, will be officially opened this summer.
