Soaring sales of Combilift four-way fork lifts have led manufacturer Combilift Ltd to team up with materials handling equipment trainer Mentor in order to keep pace with training needs.
The two companies have developed a specific training programme which will be available at any location in the UK and is designed for both novice and experienced fork lift operators.
The course complies with the requirements of the Health and Safety Commission’s Approved Code of Practice (L117) and a certificate of competence is awarded on successful completion.
Combilift UK product manager Roy Redman said: “With sales of the Combilift in the UK nearing 300 this year, our own resources for providing comprehensive training are stretched to the limit.”
He said Mentor’s training team could run courses simultaneously across the country to provide training to suit customers.
Combilift has produced a training DVD and workbook for use by trainers who already have a relationship with Combilift customers.
