Cardiff-based Coatings Direct has been appointed a distributor and stockist by Arch Coatings UK Ltd to cover the wood and panel processing industry in Wales and the West Country.
Company founder Tony Spear approached Arch Coatings after spotting an opportunity while on his travels for the commercial vehicle refinishing trade. He said: “When you’re out on the road you pass a lot of furniture factories – from little craftsmen joiners right through to large scale kitchen makers.”
Mr Spear appointed his son Wayne to cover the furniture-making and joinery trades and he has been on a course at Arch Coatings to develop a fuller understanding of the technology.
