BSW Timber has donated £300 to Macmillan Cancer Relief, to bolster the fund-raising efforts of its Newbridge Sawmill employees.
Chris Offa, sales team leader based at the Newbridge Sawmill, took part in a sponsored 10km road race in Aberystwyth on December 12 on behalf of the charity. He completed the race in 47 minutes and finished in 159th place, raising £195 for Macmillan Cancer Relief – South and West Wales.
He was joined in the race by colleagues Justin Lewis and David Jones who finished 106th and 133rd place respectively. BSW Timber increased the donation by pledging £100 per team member on completion of the race, taking the total monies donated to the charity £495.
