A Scottish door manufac-turer which expects to break the £1m turnover barrier this year has purchased new extraction facilities and machinery as part of its 2002 investment programme.

Doors by Design, based in Renfrewshire, has seen output increase and has already outgrown its dust and woodwaste extraction facilities, leading to a new plant being installed by Dust Control Systems.

The plant and new sanding, edgebanding and a CNC router plant represented a £250,000 investment.

The Nordfab 2000 2+2 filter plant provides extra extraction volume capacity of around 10,000cfm and is a tubular sock-type filter with reverse air regeneration fansets.

As well as servicing the new machinery, the Nordfab serves existing cutting, planing and moulding machinery.
