Blum UK’s new headquarters in Milton Keynes is now fully operational and offers three times the storage capacity of its previous HQ.
The warehouse has a 4,000 euro-pallet capacity, compared with the 1,300 limit of the old building. It will stock all of Blum’s mainstream products from hinges, drawer runners and drawerbox systems, through to specialist storage components such as the Orga-Line and Boxside concepts.
A constant two-shift operation is in place in the warehouse, which features a fully mechanised high-level stacking and retrieval system with computerised stock control.
The administration and sales offices are twice as big as before and reception areas lead into a working showroom of the company’s products, systems and latest innovations. A centre for training will hold courses for Blum customers and their retailers.
