The risk of glue tracking is a thing of the past at wood veneer office furniture specialist Blue Line.

As part of an ongoing expansion and modernisation programme which has seen recent investment of more than £250,000, the company has bought a Kuper FL/Innovation edge gluing system.

This applies a minute film of glue to adjacent edges of the veneer then automatically brings them together and cures the joint to form a strong but flexible bond, ideal for high quality veneer laying.

‘The system is capable of joining veneer edges from 0.3-2.5mm at speeds of between 20-50m/min. It will not only improve productivity but eliminate the risk of glue tracking,’ said operations director Paul Dickinson.
