The company, which manufactures membrane-pressed cabinet doors, has also recently opened a new factory in China, from where it is producing 80,000 membrane-pressed cabinet doors and 20,000 five-piece doors a week.
Kit for both plants has been supplied by SCM Group, which has been working with BLP for almost 20 years.
Having already provided four industrial CNC Protos routers, an SCM Ergon and Morbidelli machining centre, a second Ergo was delivered to Doncaster at the end of December.
In China, SCM has provided a linear profiling line to facilitate the production of 20 cabinet doors a minute, something that would have been difficult to achieve unless machining with a large number of CNC routers.
