French timber wholesaler and long distance runner Bernard Roth has signed up for a new challenge – the 170km ‘Desert Cup’.
Mr Roth is a veteran in the six-day race held in the Jordanian desert and which attracted 236 competitors.
Wearing the number 13 and his “I Love Wood” vest, Mr Roth will be racing non-stop for six days from November 3-9.
