Hot melt adhesive manufacturer Beardow Adams has become the first company in its sector to win an Innovation Award in this year’s Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its BAMFutura hot melt.

It is the third Queen’s Award the Milton Keynes-based company has received – having gained Export Awards in 1994 and 1999.

Company chairman and co-founder Bob Adams said: ‘The Award demonstrates that we have the edge over competitors in terms of technology and performance.’

BAMFutura accounts for one third of all Beardow Adams’ sales, nearly a quarter of which come from the woodworking sector.
