The University of Wales, Bangor, has introduced some organisational changes, including relaunching the School of Agricultural and Forest Sciences as the School of Environment and Natural Resources. It forms part of the new College of Natural Sciences.

In addition to undergraduate degrees, this year the school introduced three forestry-related MSc courses – a degree in Sustainable Tropical Forestry run under Europe’s Erasmus Mundus programme to encourage co-operation and mobility in higher education, and an MSc Forestry and MSc Forestry and Forest Products, which are both distance learning courses.

Next year will see the introduction of the Erasmus Mundus MSc in Sustainable Forest and Nature Management.
