Southall-based merchant B and B Timber has reduced downtime since taking on a New Hunslet forklift truck.
The truck, a four-tonne battery electric sideloader, replaces another Hunslet which had been used successfully for many years.
Modifications to B and B’s truck include a sit-down wide cab for comfort during long shifts and adjusted dimensions to fit the very narrow aisles of the warehouse.
The vehicle, supplied by Midlands-based Second City Lift Truck Ltd features a 5750mm triplex mast and can handle loads up to 2.6 tonnes and 5.75m in length.
