Arch has helped protect what are being hailed as the ‘greenest’ motorway services by treating interior and exterior timbers with its Non-Com Exterior fire retardant.

The western red cedar used to create the interior and exterior ceiling of Moto’s new Wetherby service area and the Douglas fir timbers used for the underside of the filling station canopy have been fire treated to achieve the required fire performance.

Non-Com Exterior was applied at Arch’s fire treatment centre at its Castleford headquarters. The western red cedar slatted ceiling panels were also prefabricated with concealed fixings and acoustic insulation pads and were bonded to the timber panels to achieve the required acoustic rating.

All timber for the project has been supplied from sustainable accredited sources.
