The competition involved woodworking students producing one-and-a-half sides of a planter in five hours, starting with just drawings and planed timber. The judges were WMSA director Tony Kaye and Didac’s Jon Gibson.
Apprenticeship competition
David Plumb, a student at Cornwall College (right), receives his certificate for winning the Apprentice Machinery Skills competition at W6 from Ian Brown of sponsor SCM. Second place went to Adam Garside of Leeds College of Building and third to Jason Roberts who is studying with Webs Training.
