Dr Chris Coggins has retired as director of the British Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing Association but will take the role of president and oversee the establishment of the Wood Protection Association.
The Property Care Association (PCA) and the Wood Protection Association (WPA), which formally divided the BWPDA, are now independent trade associations.
Yasmin Chopin takes over from Dr Coggins as director of the BWPDA and PCA, and Les Meikle, managing director of Wise Property Care, has been elected as deputy president of the WPA.
