Ainsworth Lumber Co Ltd has terminated a commitment agreement to build an engineered wood manufacturing facility in Manitoba, Canada.
The facility would have been capable of manufacturing OSB and oriented strand lumber, and would also have seen Ainsworth issued with a Forest Management License for an annual 838,000m³ of timber on a renewable 20-year lease.
However, a strategic project review by Ainsworth concluded “it is highly unlikely that the company would build the facility in the foreseeable future”.
