The MCD Edge IT upgrade improves the system’s optimisation and makes it more user-friendly.
New reporting features enable the customer to re-optimise their production for batches or even just one board at a time, with both 2D and 3D views of boards available.
Söderhamn Eriksson said the upgrade would further improve Giddings’ production and yields. Giddings, which installed the Söderhamn saw line in 2006 following a fire the year before, supplies the fencing, building and pallet trades with softwood timber.
